No. Reef's contracts are experimental, beta software and have not been reviewed by an independent security auditor. Bugs could cause loss of funds. Only trade or provide liquidity with amounts you're fully comfortable losing.
Reef's Router and Factory have no owner or admin at all — nobody can pause trading, block a wallet, freeze a pool, or take your funds. The one privileged role in the whole system is feeToSetter, which controls the protocol fee (currently on: 0.05% of every swap, out of the 0.30% total, goes to a treasury address) and can hand that role to a different address. It cannot touch liquidity that's already in a pool, and it cannot stop anyone from trading. feeToSetter is held by a 2-of-2 hardware-wallet multisig (separate Trezor and Ledger signers) rather than a single key, so no one person can exercise it alone.
No. Pool creation is fully permissionless — anyone can list any token, including fake, mislabeled, or malicious ones. A pool showing up here is not an endorsement. Always verify a token's contract address against a source you trust before trading it.
When you provide liquidity to a pool, the ratio of the two tokens you hold shifts automatically as the price moves. If the price has moved a lot by the time you withdraw, you can end up with less total value than if you'd simply held the two tokens separately. Trading fees earned can offset this, but aren't guaranteed to.
BlockDAG (chain 1404) is a young chain, and public RPC operators have not always agreed on its history — a node can report the correct chain ID while actually serving a different chain of blocks. Cross-checking endpoints against each other can tell you whether they currently agree; it can't tell you on its own which one is canonical. For anything beyond a small amount, verify independently before relying on a single endpoint.
